Definitely identify them before selling. I always start with a free coin identifier app to get an idea of what I have and their approximate values. It helped me realize I was about to sell a couple of coins that were actually better to keep or get professionally graded. The app gives enough information to make smarter decisions. Many people in the forum do the same before listing anything online.
